The Brecknock Branch of the Campaign for the Protection of Rural Wales have awarded the Brecknock Museum and Art Gallery a Rural Wales Award.
The Award was made in recognition of the contribution the Museum and its staff make to the cultural life of the area.
The presentation was made to the Curator, David Moore
at the Museum
on September 13th by the President of the
CPRW- Mr Roger Jones OBE, of Battle, Brecon. and
Stuart Taylor, Head of Public Relations Wales with the
Post Office.
Rural Wales Awards are given in recognition of good environmental practice, designs which take the landscape into consideration, restoration of important landscape features or the promotion of better environmental awareness and understanding. CPRW as an organisation is committed to securing the protection and improvement of the rural landscape, environment and amenities of towns and villages in Wales, whilst recognising the importance of its indigenous communities.
The Awards are sponsored by the Post Office.

The Campaign for the Protection of Rural Wales is a charity which aims to secure the protection and improvement of the rural landscape, environment and amenities of towns and villages in Wales, whilst recognising the importance of its indigenous cultures. Since its formation in 1928 it has developed into an important voice, both at national and local level.
