Gwarchodwch Cefn Gwlad

YDCW yw'r mudiad cadwraethol sydd yn cynnwys gofal am yr amgylchedd diwylliannol yn ogystal â'r amgylchedd naturiol yn ei weithgarwch. Newid a pharhad yw congl-feini bywyd cefn gwlad a nôd YDCW yw ceisio ennill cydbwysedd rhwng y ddau ffenomenon yma. Ceisir darganfod pa newidiadau sydd yn dderbyniol na fydd yn amharu ar y nodweddion sydd yn gwneud ein cefn gwlad mor werthfawr.

Ceisia YDCW ddiffinio'r nodweddion hynny ac wedyn ddiffinio'r hyn sydd yn rhaid ei wneud i'w gwarchod yn nhermau dylanwadu ar y system gynllunio ac ar y rhai sydd yn gwneud y penderfyniadau yn lleol ac yn genediaethol. I gyflawni'r nôd mae'n rhaid i YDCW gael aelodaeth gref i sicrhau bod ei lais i'w glywed ar draws y wlad a bod ganddo'i sail ariannol i weithredu'n effeithiol.

Wrth ymuno a YDCW mi fyddech yn helpu achos cadwraeth yng Nghymru, ac yn ei dro mi fydd YDCW yn eich helpu chi drwy:

• dosbarthu rhifynnau cylchgrawn Cymru Wledig i chi am ddim yn rheolaidd
• rhoi cyfle i chi weithio dros yr achos drwy gymryd rhan yng ngweithgareddau eich cangen leol

'Gweithredu dros Gefn Gwlad Byw' yw ein slogan- er mwyn gwireddu hynny mae eich angen chi ar YDCW ond, yn fwy pwysig, mae angen Ymgyrch Diogelu Cymru Wledig arnoch chi.

Protect the Countryside

CPRW is the conservation organisation that includes both the human and natural environments within its area of activity. Change and continuity are the corner-stones of rural life and it is the search for a balance between these two that forms the basis of CPRW's work.

CPRW attempts to see what changes can be allowed that will not damage the enduring qualities that make our countryside so precious. CPRW attempts to define the enduring qualities and then define the action that needs to be taken to defend those qualities in terms of influencing the planning system and decision-makers both locally and nationally.

To face this challenge CPRW must have a strong membership base to ensure that its voice is heard throughout the land and it has the finances to function effectively.

By joining CPRW you will help the cause of conservation in Wales and, in turn, CPRW will help you by:

• sending you a free Rural Wales Magazine on a regular basis
• giving you the opportunity to contribute to protecting the countryside through participating in the work of your local branch.

'Action for a Living Countryside' is our slogan - for that to become reality we need you and/ more importantly, you need the Campaign for the Protection of Rural Wales.
